Make Your Teeth Whiter with Precious Smiles Family Dentistry

Bleaching

Today’s technology is always improving, and as it does, cosmetic dentistry evolves with it. At Precious Smiles Family Dentistry, we can whiten your teeth to rid them of those ugly stains caused by coffee, tea, sodas and more. We consider it an art, and we have seen patients from all over Madison, looking to whiten their smile. We offer numerous whitening options: custom bleaching trays, pre-formed trays, professional whitening strips, and in office whitening.

Bleaching Trays

One of our most popular teeth whitening methods is whitening trays. Precious Smiles Family Dentistry takes custom molds of your teeth to make the trays. Your trays will be flexible, form-fitting to your teeth, comfortable to sleep in or wear all day. It takes approximately one week to make the trays, and you will receive the whitening gel that you apply. They are meant to wear for 8-10 hours at a time so Precious Smiles Family Dentistry recommends you wear them at night. Brush your teeth before inserting the trays. Do not swallow the gel or get a significant amount on your gums. When you remove the trays, rinse your mouth to remove excess gel and then brush your teeth. The trays should be rinsed with warm water and lightly scrubbed with a toothbrush to ensure they stay clean. Some sensitivity is normal but if you suffer from extreme tooth or gum sensitivity stop the use of whitening trays and call Precious Smiles Family Dentistry.

    In-Office Whitening

Our in-office whitening procedure will produce faster results than the take-home trays. Precious Smiles Family Dentistry uses the combination of a deep whitening gel and intense light. Between the two you will have whiter teeth in less than an hour. Precious Smiles Family Dentistry makes sure to perform a cleaning to remove any plaque and debris that resides on the surface of your teeth. The whitening gel will be applied to all the teeth that are visible when you smile. The light activates the gel and enhances the whitening process. Multiple gel applications may need to be made depending on the severity of the stains.
